- Use a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner (Suggestions: Odele Clarifying Shampoo and Volumizing Conditioner / Odele Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner)
- Wash and condition hair bi-weekly to prevent product build-up
- Minimal thermal styling to preserve natural texture
- Using heat protectant before thermal styling (Suggestions: CHI 44 Iron Guard)
- Detangle from ends to root (Suggestions: FHI UnBrush)
- Protect installs by using satin bonnets at night time
